Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP)

Quebec, also known as “La Belle Province,” is the largest province in Canada and is recognized for its distinctive culture, primarily French-speaking population, and significant autonomy within the Canadian federation. As of the 2021 data from Statistics Canada, Quebec has a population of 8,501,833 people. The capital is Quebec City, while the largest city is Montreal. The majority of residents live in urban centers along the St. Lawrence River, particularly in Montreal and Quebec City.

Quebec exercises a high degree of autonomy in Canada, including control over its immigration system. Unlike other provinces that have Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), Quebec has its own unique immigration selection system called the Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ). Despite the different name, the final approval for permanent residency still falls under the jurisdiction of the federal immigration authorities.

The Regular Selection Program for Skilled Workers (Programme de l'expérience québécoise - PEQ)

In Quebec is designed for individuals who wish to immigrate to Quebec based on their skills and abilities. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in French or English, possess the required educational qualifications, and work in an occupation that is in demand in the Quebec job market.
